I am a life-long Confessional Lutheran, belonging to a confessional Lutheran church body related to the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
I grew up in a Lutheran family. My parents and siblings are all very dedicated to the work of the church. I am too… which makes my struggles even harder to face.
You see, I have doubts. Big, huge doubts. Like, is there a supernatural at all? Is there a God? Can the scriptures be trusted? What about naturalism, the belief that only natural laws can explain the universe and that there is no spiritual realm?
This makes going to church and dealing with Christians difficult.
In 2015, these struggles have come to the forefront, and I can’t ignore them anymore. So I have to deal with them. I’m sharing my journey with you here.
